Activities
I had already been to schools in
Seville and Malaga in
Spain. Compared to these institutes I found your school very active in
contacts and activities with students. At the institutes in Spain there
was almost no contact with staff and teachers outside of class . In
Chile
during the breaks teachers and students always mingled. In Argentina a
part of the staff and the students always had lunch together...

Studying a language abroad means more
than attaining fluency.
We also want to ensure that your time in Latin America will be the
experience
of a lifetime. To help you gain new Latin perspectives and to
best
understand the local culture, we take on the responsibility to
coordinate
optional social events. A typical student week involves
activities
such as outings to salsa clubs, museum tours, happy hours, and
local
festivals. Overnight weekend excursions include coastal trips,
visits
to colonial villages, and outdoor adventures.
 |
Weekend excursions in Chile
include trips to the nearby
mountains for white-water rafting. |
Specific highlights include:
- Argentina's world famous futbol
matches
between Boca Juniors
and River Plate.
- Chile's port city of Valparaiso and
nearby Isla Negra, home
to Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda's most famous house.
- Buenos Aires tango shows.
- Santiago vineyard tours.
- School parties featuring regional
cooking lessons and salsa
practice.
