Spanish School in Costa Rica, Coronado

The school is situated close to the south side of the national park “Braulio Carillo” near the capital San Jose. The school consists of a 5000 square meter garden with more than 100 plant species, many birds and different kinds of butterflies.
You will be welcomed by the school team at a reception in the winter garden. Perfectly equipped classrooms, for example a mutimedia conference room, a big library with Spanish books, movies and songs make you want to go to school. For breakfast and breaks students meet in the school’s cafeteria or outside in the garden. Apart from school, the area is very safe, especially for girls as well. There are no problems with walking alone and enjoying yourself in one of the many welcoming restaurants and bars.

Friendly and Professional

With an average age of 35 the gap between students and teacher is not that big. Both teachers and students take part in the many activities which gives the school its unique and friendly atmosphere.You will have fun studying and you will be able to ask them for help, should you have any problems.
Although the teachers do speak English, Spanish is spoken to facilitiate your fast progress.

Service Evaluation System:
In order to find out what needs to be improved and what students like about the school, there is a weekly evaluation system. The school’s reputation is excellent and students love going there to study. Both written and oral feed back is given to the students so that they know how well they are doing, and what they need to work on.

Accommodation:

Homestay
Living with a guest family in Coronado means that you will have a single room for yourself, laundry and half board service which means breakfast and dinner. The families live within walking distance of the school or just a few minutes away by bus. If you prefer the “standard plus” accommodation, you also will have a private bathroom and some other services.
The families are carefully selected so that your safety and comfort are guarenteed.

Shared apartments
The apartments in Coronado are between 1,5 and 4km far from school you can either walk or there will be a bus station close your home. It will not take you more than 25 minutes to get to the school. Your apartment is equipped with kitchenette, living facilities and TV. You can choose either a single room, a shared one or even an individual apartment for yourself.

Hours:
The school is open Monday to Friday 7:30 am / 4:00pm

Holidays
For public holiday reasons the school will be closed on the following days: 11 April, 21-22 April, 25 July, 2 August, 15 September, 12 October, 19-30 December. If you ordered private classes, they will be replaced on other days, whereas group classes will be only bereplaced if not the school is not too busy.
