Spanish School in Costa Rica, Jaco Beach

The Academia Tica Jacó is located in the beautiful coastal town of Jacó Beach on the Central Pacific region of the tropical Costa Tica. Jacó is just 1.5 hours away from the international airport and it offers lots of sun, stunning beaches and eye-catching flora and fauna, nearby national parks, and lots of exciting activities in a very popular town that has become the most popular coastal destination in Costa Rica. The school is surrounded with an almost 1000 square meter garden and a great patio for relaxing between and after your lessons. The small swimming pool is perfect for chill out time. If you feel like reading there is also a library at school where you can hire books.

The average age of the teachers is about 35 and they usually speak English. Although to encourage you to speak and understand Spanish faster they predominantly speak Spanish to you. 
All of the teachers have university degrees and also take part in activities with their students. From Latin America dances to cooking classes, cinema, city tours and cultural activities, there will be something for every kind of person.

Service Evaluation System:

Every week there are tests for the beginner levels. When you move to the upper levels or finish your chosen level they ask you to give feedback. The evaluations are given both oraly and in writing. There are also weekly feedback sessions for the students in order to tell them about their progress. The majority of students are happy with the school. All of them give a final feedback about the programs and a general one before they leave.

Homestay
In your host family you will be provided with breakfast and dinner, a single or double room, depending on your preference. Bed linen provided and will be changed weekly. The school chooses your host family carefully, keeping an eye on hospitality, hygiene, and other arrangements. If you let the housing coordinator know about your preferencies, e.g. allergies, needs etc you will be placed into a perfect home away from home. You can walk or to take the bus to school, this will take you approximately 20 till 25min.

Shared apartments
Shared appartments are self-catering. You will either share a room with another student or you will get an individual one. Bed linen is provided as well and will be changed weekly. The school apartments are well equipped and nicely furnished: a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, TV etc. Usually those apartments are inhabited by 2-5 students. To go

Getting to school is eithr a few minutes walk or you can take the bus.

Hours:
The school is open Monday to Friday 7:30 am / 4:00pm.

Holidays
Those days are public holidays and school will be closed. The classes cannot be refunded however there is a conversation club taking place instead.

However, private lessons will be replaced and group classes if school is not too busy.
