Cuenca has four rivers and a magnificent landscape. Surrounded by mountains, you don’t need to search for a great place to go hiking. With its museums, galleries and markets you are also able to learn something about the culture of Cuenca and Ecuador. Moreover you will have the opportunity to go mountain climbing or hiking in the Andes and Highlands (in the north), you can visit the Amazon rain forest (in the west) and of course you can relax on incredible beaches along the Pacific Ocean.
Being famous for its biodiversity, it is also recommended that you make a detour to the Galapagos Islands.
