Spanish School in Mendoza, Argentina: ECELA

The school is two blocks from Parque San Martin, where the Mendoza Zoo and San Martin monument are located. The building itself is beautiful and inviting, ideal for learning Spanish! Also the school is just a few blocks from famous Aristides Villanueva Street, which is the main entertainment, nightlife and restaurant district. The neighborhood is a save, sophisticated, centralized area with many housing options.
The school building in Mendoza is newly renovated and includes a barbeque, a patio, two terraces and free WIFI.

The ambiance between students only, but as well with teachers is great. For the school it is very important to be like a big family. Indeed, there are always excursions and activities in order to get to know the area but of course also the new students.
The teachers are very easy-going no matter which age they have. Even they only speak Spanish to you for your own interest; you will not have any problems understanding them. They get trained regularly and some of them also speak English.

Service Evaluation System:
The school data base safes all the ratings from students. Every week you will be asked filling out a sheet, so the school knows what needs to be worked on. As a result there are results like the newest one which is 4,5. (1 is worst, 5 the best).

Accommodation:

Homestay:
Normally there are only good statements from students about their hostfamilies. That is why the families will get trained before any students will stay at their house. Anyways, in case any problems should occur, the students are not alone and the housing coordinator will find a solution to make the student happy. Apart from the single room and the shared bathroom you will be provided with 2 meals in your family (breakfast and dinner).

Shared apartments:
Naturally there are also student apartments offered, for those who prefer living with the same age of group. You will have the option between standard and economic. For both ways the kitchen will be available for cookings, because food is not included in the shared apartment.

Hours:
The school is open Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:30hrs

Holidays: The school will be closed on 7 and 24 March, 22 April, 25 May, 15 Aug, 10 Oct.; these classes cannot be refunded or made up.

Other holidays – lessons will not be refunded; a conversation club will be organized instead.
