Our Approach:
The professors at San Martin Spanish School apply the communicative
approach to teaching spanish while keeping the learning experience interesting
and original:
-
The experienced staff uses proven foreign language teaching techniques
and audio/visual aids.
-
Some classes vary environments by deciding to hold sessions outside in
local parks and cafes.
-
Discussions focus on social, business, and living situations the students
can apply to their daily lives.
Depending on your personal situation, private or group classes are available.
Both arrangements are effective for language study, however each has its
advantages.
Group classes:
-
are generally more effective for beginning and intermediate students.
-
are limited to a maximum of five students, ensuring individual attention
for questions and explanations.
-
begin every Monday, however, space permitting, students may join a group
class at any time.
-
offer a more economical program.
Private (One-to-one) classes:
-
begin anytime throughout the year.
-
are more effective in focusing on a specific aspect of the spanish language.
-
are often more appropriate for very advanced students.
-
have the most flexible schedule.
Program Exchange:
An added benefit of learning at San Martin is that students may interchange
their classes with other schools in the Latin Immersion Language Network.
Programs are coordinated such that switching locations will not interrupt
lessons and will greatly enhance the student's opportunities to experience
other cultures. All locations retain the following objectives:
-
Effective Communication
-
Clear Pronunciation
-
Proficient Writing
-
Reading Comprehension
-
Cultural Appreciation
