Spanish School in Costa Rica, Coronado

The school is situated close to the south side of the national park “Braulio Carillo” near the capital San Jose. The school consists of a 5000 square meters big garden with more than 100 plant species, many birds and different kinds of butterflies.
You will be welcomed from school team at the reception in the winter garden. Perfectly equipped classrooms, like a Mutimedia conference room, a bulky library with Hispanic books, movies and songs make you like to go to school. For breakfast and breaks students meet in the school’s cafeteria or outside in the garden. Apart from school, the area is very safe, especially for girls as well. It is not a problem to walk alone and enjoy oneself going into one of many welcoming restaurants and bars.

Friendly and Professional

With an average age of 35 the gap between students and teacher is not that big. Most of the time the teachers are more like a friend than a strict teacher. That is also because many activities are mixed, students and teachers. In that way you will have fun studying and you will not have any hesitations asking them for help, in case any problems should occur.
Since they are still pretty young English knowledge exists, whereas the majority of time Spanish is going to be used.

Service Evaluation System:
To know about what needs to be proved or what students like about the school, there is a weekly evaluation system taking place. Altogether, the school’s reputation is excellent and students love going there to study. But there are not only students giving their feedback. To let them know how well their progress is, they receive statements as well.

Accommodation:

Homestay
Living with a guest family in Coronado means that you will have a single room for yourself, laundry and half board service which means breakfast and dinner. The families live within walking distance of the school or just a few minutes away by bus. In case you prefer the “standard plus” accommodation, you also will have a bath for your own besides the other services.
The families are selected by rigorous strategies, so that the safety and comfort for you always will be guaranteed.

Shared apartments
The apartments in Coronado are between 1,5 and 4km far from school. Either you are able to walk the distance by foot or there will be a bus station close your home. So it will not take you more than 25minutes to get to the school. Your apartment is appareled with kitchenette, living facilities and TV. Dependent on what you prefer more, you will have a single room, a shared one or even an individual apartment for yourself.

The school is open Monday to Friday 7:30 am / 4:00pm

Holidays
For public holiday reasons the school will be closed on the following days: 11April, 21-22April, 25July, 2August, 15September, 12October, 19-30December. If you ordered private classes, they will be replaced on other days, whereupon group classes will be replaced only if not the school is not too crowded.
