Spanish School in Costa Rica, Jaco Beach

Academia Tica Jacó is located in the beautiful coastal town of Jacó Beach on the Central Pacific region of tropical Costa Tica. Jacó is just 1.5 hours away from the international airport and it offers lots of sun, stunning beaches and eye-catching flora and fauna, nearby national parks, and lots of fun activities in a very popular town that has become the most popular coastal destination in Costa Rica. The school is surrounded with an almost 1000 square meter garden and a great patio for relaxing between and after your lessons. The small swimming pool is perfect as refreshment and chill out time. If you feel like reading some something there is also a library at school where you can hire books.

The teachers and Student Service Team
Friendly and Professional

The average age of the teachers is about 35 and they usually speak English as well. To encourage you to speak and understand Spanish faster they will predominantly speak Spanish to you. 
All of the teachers have university degrees and also undertake activities with their students. From Latin America dances to cooking classes, cinema, city tours up to cultural things, there will be something for all kinds of people.

Service Evaluation System:
Every week your progress is evaluated. When you progress to another level or finish your chosen level they ask you to give feedback. The evaluations are made orally and in writing. There are weekly feedbacks for the students in order to inform them of their progress. The majority of students are happy with the school. All of them are asked to give final feedback about the programs and a general one before they leave.

Accommodation:

Homestay
In your host family you will be provided with breakfast and dinner, a single or double room, depending on your preference. Bed linen is provided and will be changed weekly. The school chooses your host families carefully, keeping an eye on hospitality, hygiene, and other arrangements, e.g. allergies, preferencies etc you will be placed in a perfect home from home. To will either walk or to take the bus to school, takes you between 20-25min.

Shared apartments
Shared apartments are self-catering. You can either share a room with another student or have a room of your own. Bed linen is provided and will be changed weekly. The school apartments are well equipped and nicely furnished: a totally equipped kitchen, washing machine, TV etc. Usually those apartments are visited by 2-5 students. To go to your school you will usually walk for a few minutes, or take a bus.

Hours:
The school is open Monday to Friday 7:30 am / 4:00pm.

Holidays
Because of public holidays the school will be closedon the following dates. The classes cannot be refunded however there is a conversation club taking place instead.
11 April, 21-22 April, 25 July, 2 August, 15 September, 12 October, 19-30 December
However, private lessons will be replaced and normally the group classes as well, if school is not too busy.
